“These are the times that try men’s souls”. Thomas Paine wrote that during the year 1776, while our fledgling  nation was in the throes of armed revolution against the greatest military machine in the world. If Vegas had been around back then, the odds would have been astronomically against that we would survive being crushed inside a year. It was a minor miracle that we had survived the “battles” of Lexington and Concord on April 19th 1775. We had no standing army or navy. Our militias were ragtag groups of farmers and shopkeepers.
There is another document authored by Thomas Jefferson and published on July 4, 1776. It begins, “When in the course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected to them to another”. The ‘healthcare monstrosity’ of 1990 pages will have another 800 pages of “managerial” amendments added to it in the dark of night by Pelosi’s GOON squad. They will attempt a vote on this indescribable horror.
I’m not saying that armed insurrection is our answer, but something certainly has to be done. We don’t need to wait for Friday’s vote for tyranny…we have it right now in the House of Representatives. We have  one party rule enforced by pint-sized Nancy Pelosi, to include having locks changed on chamber doors to keep Republicans from introducing amendments or raising objections to the absolutely illegal and unconstitutional multi-trillion dollar robbery of our freedoms, our independence and our God given heritage.
The Obama administration is out to destroy our way of life. Rush Limbaugh said as much in his interview with Chris Wallace broadcast on Sunday AND HE WAS RIGHT!
Bill O’Reilly said he thought Rush was wrong that Obama wouldn’t do that for fear that he wouldn’t be re-elected. I’ve got news for you Bill…Rush is right…you are wrong. Obama is an ideologue. Pelosi, Reid and company are only slightly less so…their idea of transformative is along the lines of Pol Pot or Joseph Stalin and let us not forget that great Obama administration icon Mao Tse Tung.
They couldn’t care less what the American people think or say…they are going to thug this thing through unless we STOP them… AND WE CAN. Representative Michele Bachmann (R) Minn. has called for citizens from all over America who can reach Washington by Thursday to gather at the capitol steps to rally and then proceed into the congressional office buildings to beard the cowards in their dens. Not with pitchforks  and tar (YET), but with video and cell phone cameras. Any bets the cretins will clear out Wednesday night or hide behind staff and be unavailable?
I know of two people from Nancy’s own district who are winging their way east as we speak… Mark Levin has also promised to be there to lend his support. Calls and emails will also undoubtedly inundate the offices of Congress and the Senate and bring down the White House and Capitol switchboards.
Given what is happening in Virginia, New York and New Jersey they’d better start listening.
They’d also better be damned grateful that we have more respect for the rule of law than they do.
For with us, as Conservatives, Independents and many Democrats who are not represented by this bunch, the law is something WE stand by. For those TYRANTS it’s something they hide behind.

Newt Gingrich, who had staunchly defended  Dede Scozzafava’s bid for Representative of New York’s 23rd District, seems to be unaware of  the reality which has been manifesting itself all over the country with regards to the leadership of the the Republican party, which is this: THERE ISN’T ANY.
We thought we sent that message loud and clear during the 2008 Presidential race which brought the most destructive Presidency in American history to Washington. We had been jacked around time after time by the same backroom deal makers that had been bringing us big government, big spending Republican ‘progressives’ since after Ronald Reagan departed the scene. The hand writing was pretty clearly on the wall for any who had eyes to see. The cries of disgust were readily apparent for any who had ears to hear.
Apparently, most of the party leadership didn’t get the message…the ones who were behind the sleazy attacks on Sarah Palin for instance. She is a dynamic leader-in-waiting who can generate more excitement in one appearance than the entire leadership of the Republican party. Yet we still allow these people to attempt to craft their backroom deals with blinders and earmuffs firmly in place. I say attempt ’cause it ain’t workin’ so good any more. The whole concept of the Rockefeller wing of the party is as dead as two week old mackerel and smells about the same.
There are severe doubts as to whether Michael Steele has the STEEL to pull the party together. Mitch McConnell and John Boehner should just bow out and get the hell out of the way of someone who CAN lead and isn’t afraid of an old fashioned street brawl…Mike Pence,  J.D. Hayworth, J.C. Watts and Mark Sanford are some who appear not to be infected with ‘Beltway Fever’ At least to this point they remember who (US) and what ( THE  CONSTITUTION ) they serve. Joe Wilson is another…there are others. We need  people with the courage to call Obama, Pelosi, Reid and their ilk LIARS…for liars they surely are. Dishonest and evil as well. The survival of America as we know it depends on it. We owe it to our children and their children.
In a glaring example of just how far out of sync with the mood of the Conservative electorate in this country Michael Steele and folks like Newt Gingrich are, Steele issued a statement lauding Scozzafava for ‘taking one for the team’. All the while, Scozzafava was urging voters to support the Democrat Bill Owens. This is another typical RNC DUHH moment. There are rumors that Newt intends to run for President in 2012. I hope not. As brilliant as his Contract for America was, times have bypassed him and all like him. His sadly mistaken support of Dede Scozzafava proved that.
It will be the Conservative movement which will carry the Republican banner forward in 2010 and on to defeat Barack Hussein Obama in 2012. “No pale pastels but BOLD COLORS”.

IF there is an Israeli or a Jew anywhere in the world that believes that Barry HUSSEIN has anything good in mind or heart for them, I have some Madoff investments I’d like to talk to them about.
Barack, ever lief to utilize the smarm factor, will use the occasion of the anniversary of the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzak Rabin on Nov. 4th 1995, to attempt to appeal to the left among the Israeli electorate.
In Barry’s warped world driving a wedge into Israel’s resolve is the next best step in his Islamic outreach program.
I have real trouble understanding the ‘Peacenik Brigade’ in Israel. Hell, I can barely understand it here in America…I’ve always considered it to be a mental defect of sorts, perhaps a brain lesion or something.
One thing I’ve taken note of over the years, is that this is the type of individual who invariably alternately whimpers about civil rights for animals, or global warming, or something that will control other peoples’ freedoms and lives and are usually only willing to sacrifice themselves to the last patriot. These folks will stand by while their betters defend them and then complain about it.
I grew up in an old country Italian household. I was the little blue-eyed blond ‘wop’ on the block.
There were some kids in the neighborhood that weren’t very nice and sort of hung in a pack.
Most of them were bigger than I was. They started by harassing me and then proceeded to beating me up when they could catch me…until one day I’d had enough…I knew how they walked home from school so I hurried to hide behind a hedge where I’d placed a 2×4. When they walked by I took out the last one, then proceeded to knock the biggest one flat and then took out after the others. A funny thing happened…they not only left me alone, they’d go out of their way to avoid me. There’s a parable in there somewhere.
The leftists in Israel, as I’ve stated, are a lot harder to figure out. They have evidence of the extreme hatred and violence of virulent anti-semitism all around them…they are under the threat of destruction on a daily basis, yet they will still bow to the seductive siren song of peace now, or even worse, peace for land or some other fanciful promise that would be a tough sell to most kids.
Israelis have got to ignore the ‘white noise’ of the Obamas, the UN and the ever deceptive left-leaning press and focus on one fact. Iran wants to destroy Israel at any cost…and they will if given the chance.
She must find her own 2×4 and prepare to use it soon.

More words than the New Testament of the Bible…precisely 2.2 million dollars per word.
One thing is for certain, there was not one word that came out of the Speaker’s mouth at the CLOSED INVITATION ONLY unveiling  that was the truth.
Just as they did every thing else with this gargantuan power grab, behind closed doors and in the dark of night, this bill has been read by very few. Hillary Clinton’s failed attempt only had 1300 pages. What we do know of it stinks to high heaven.
The 1.44 trillion projected by the CBO will become FOURTEEN times that, using the Medicare experience and everything else the government does as a gauge.
The Senate Republicans have demanded that Harry Reid submit the bill to them for detailed scrutiny.
This bill, like everything else this Congress and Administration has done, is a sham and a failure. Just as the much vaunted stimulus has resulted in barely over 1000 jobs and the ‘Cash for Clunkers’ program ended costing US taxpayers 24,000.00 dollars per vehicle, pulling 125,000 mostly desirable used cars away from  the market place, the sale of which would normally benefit lower income purchasers.
The claim is that it is budget neutral. That’s an out and out lie. It includes the public option, which Pelosi and Reid were forced by the extreme left of the party and allies to include, though it bodes ill for the passage of the bill. It also includes funding for abortions which the Republicans and 40 or more Democrats have said they will not vote for. This bill has coverage for ILLEGAL ALIENS.
The Bluedog Democrats have stated they want more information. This also does not bode well for the passage of this bill.
This is a HUGELY regressive power grab with thousands of SHALLS in it, each with its threat of punitive fines or imprisonment and back-breaking taxation, which is a huge gun pointed directly at the freedom of every United States citizen. It is for this precise reason that our forefathers chose to throw off the yoke of tyranny to become a free people.
Americans  are rightfully incensed.
The American people are about to speak in Virginia, New Jersey and New York.
It’s a harbinger of things to come. Nancy…Keep your historic moment!
We don’t want your European Socialist Healthcare!

Where to start? Our undefended  southern border with Mexico. We have 1969 miles of common border with our ‘neighbor’ to the south. You know the one I mean. The one governed by the drug cartels? The cartels whose private militias are at least as potent as the Mexican military? Our Immigration and Customs Enforcement has LESS than 700 miles of the border in what they term “under control”. This is a statement which is obviously open to interpretation…ask the Border Patrol officers on the ground how much control they have…but do it when their politically motivated supervisors are not around.
Ask the ranchers in rural areas of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas how much control there is over the depredation of the illegals to their land, their property and their livestock.
These ranchers have to go armed in defense of their lives and their families’ lives on their own property.
It’s not just Mexican and Central American illegals coming over either. Items left behind are evidence that middle eastern infiltration was and is occurring across that border. Excuse me for believing that these people don’t have our best interests in mind. Captured documents indicate that Al Qaeda infiltrators are told to learn Spanish to more easily blend in. Well-financed middle eastern illegals utilize coyote smugglers regularly. It’s also real hard to imagine that these fine folks just want to come here to practice their “Religion of Peace”.
I’d like to stick Obama with the southern border issue, even though he surely will do little or nothing to improve the situation down there, and in point of fact has ordered the removal of four hundred Border Patrol agents for reassignment elsewhere. But for sure it didn’t start with him.
The border has been a sieve for a very long time. The Clintons saw it as a cheap sure-vote getter.
George Bush gave it lip service behind the impetus of 9-11 at best. His fancies of appealing to the Hispanic voting block were foolish. Besides, mid western meat packing companies needed that cheap labor. This is a shameful connivance by both Democrats and Republicans, which by the way is another major reason the Conservative electorate in this country abandoned the Republicans this last cycle. Americans are sick to death of paying the freight for illegals. Our hospitals are overwhelmed by US GOVERNMENT MANDATED CARE FOR ILLEGALS. Emergency trauma centers, some of the finest medical facilities in the world, have been forced to close or sharply curtail their activities. Here in the border states in particular, our educational systems are inundated with the children of illegal aliens filling our classrooms and reducing the level of the curriculum in order to cater to the special needs of these illegals’ kids, thereby ruining the quality level of education for our own children. Our prisons have a population of illegals approaching 30%. Many incarcerated for very violent offenses. Our state is virtually bankrupt.
If this were not enough to make you reach for the migraine tabs consider this…Every one of our air and rail transportation hubs has been and is being cased on a virtually daily basis by middle eastern types who are free to roam pretty much as they please.
Once, when I had been hired by a company as a project manager, I had a couple of weeks to kill before my start date. I have a friend who owns a high end cab company and he was short a driver so I went to work for him for two weeks. My travels took me in and out of an international airport frequently.
One thing that came to my notice was the proliferation of little independent taxis driven by obviously middle eastern men. Ask me if I’m profiling? OH HELL YES! These guys were all over the place. Not working out of any dispatch center they operated off of cell phones…generally they were a surly bunch.
The liberals among you by now are wringing their hands and sniveling “but they’re just trying to work and be part of the American dream”. Ok and so were the three thousand souls that were murdered in the twin towers. If I was in Homeland Security I’d seriously consider the threat posed by hundreds of middle-easterners, accountable to no one, who knew these hubs intimately and are able to access many areas of them.
But then, I’m sure that all these folks are just hard working members of the “Religion of Peace”.

In Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid’s hallucinatory world, their head long rush to have everything in Marxist heaven in its place…especially the American people, annoying creatures that we are, ISN’T WORKING.
Nancy and Harry ideologues, that they are by the nature of what they are, aren’t real deep thinkers. They had this one chance to push this country into Leninist Nirvana, behind wave after wave of Democrat-manufactured crises and engineered  panic, while surfing the historically mesmerizing Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama. After the euphoria cleared many of the moon-eyed came back to earth and realized the whole game was rigged and Camelot was in fact a massive shell game. Then something changed…something happened along the way. A few conservative Republicans found their testicular fortitude and said, ‘hey wait, let’s  just slow down and read this thing’. Of course, they had just finished having a 700 billion dollar enema rammed up them by George Bush, who was putting aside his ‘conservative principles’ to save (Wall Street) “the economy” from a disaster which Ralph Nader for one had predicted eight years before…and I’m no fan of Nader.
In fairness to former President Bush, he too had tried repeatedly, along with other Republican leaders, to have Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac scrutinized and their freewheeling practices regulated. They were stonewalled in these attempts time after time by such fiscal stalwarts as  Chris Dodd, John ‘Swiftboat’ Kerry, Barack Hussein Obama, Spencer Bachus, Rahm Emanuel, Hillary Clinton and the in-all-ways-deviant Barney Frank. When the predictable result occurred, which some may be led to believe was carefully planned and engineered for precisely this purpose, it became Bush’s issue.
Fast forward to Barack Hussein’s love fest Democrat wish-list budget pork feast and the debt had just been tripled.
The nation was staggering from the shock of the recession with job losses in the hundreds of thousands. A rate not seen since the Great Depression of the 1930’s.
Still…voices began to be heard…the PEOPLE…those insignificant gnats that are always such an annoyance to the Democratic elites and (shame on us) no too few Republicans began to stir…and stir and stir… The resultant Conservative revival began to drag even some of the weak-at-heart Republican ‘centrists’ and moderate Democrats with them when they began to hear the message loud and clear. We’ll see you at the ballot box…
What should have been a slam dunk agenda for Obama’s Demarxists has become a quagmire in which nothing gets done and even Democrats can’t agree.
Enter the Conservative Patriot Movement… Pelosi-Reed and associates are floundering, changing terms, coming up with fanciful interpretations of what is, or is not, in the UNHEALTHY FOR AMERICA bill. Changing the count and the amount as though it was a 1960’s television game show, which is where they probably belong.
But it’s too damn late…the proverbial kittycat is out of the bag. The grassroots movement of Conservative Republicans, Independents and Conservative Democrats is sweeping the national landscape. It has not slowed and in fact just keeps gaining momentum. Hey Nancy…Hey Harry…
You can run but you can’t hide!

John Kerry, the oh so pompous…who is seeking some legacy other than the betrayal of his comrades in arms in Viet Nam, has decided to extend his treasonous activities to brand new generations of our servicemen and women.
Kerry is despicable. Thank the Lord above that the honorable men of the Swift Boat Veterans had the courage of their convictions and stopped Kerry’s White House aspirations. As it turned out it only deferred us the disaster which is Barack Hussein Obama. Barry and Kerry deserve each other. They share the same yellow streak.
Obama’s inability to make a decision to send the resources to Afghanistan that the field commanders in charge have determined are required to accomplish the mission, despite the advice of the finest military minds in the country, is irresponsible and well… it’s cowardly. Every two bit tinhorn  bad guy in the world sees Obama for what he is…weak, ineffectual, indecisive and therefore not to be feared.
John Kerry has already proven his yellow creds…his shameless self promotion and the outright prevarication of his service record were and are an embarrassment to the entire officer corps of the US military. Except perhaps a Jack Murtha who gave his honor away long ago.
Kerry’s appearance before Congress as a member of the Viet Nam Veterans against the war was a LITANY of untruths created of whole cloth…and an insult to hundreds of thousands of men and women who served during the Viet Nam era faithfully upholding the oaths they swore.
Now John Kerry seeks to falsify another  LEGACY on the bodies of our honored dead. Every day that Obama stalls in his decision and every day that the BOMBASTIC Mr Kerry goes in front of the cameras to play out his seditious game at our military’s expense is a day there is American blood on his and  Obama’s hands.
Clearly there is gross malfeasance at work in the administration and in the halls of Congress. How long will we allow these truly evil people to play with the lives of those for who they are not fit to carry water?
The day of reckoning cannot come soon enough. The ballot box is our recourse…The nearest opportunity is 2010.
Let them hear us loudly and clearly.

We as conservatives are bitterly disappointed in our Governator.
Arnold Schwarzenegger came into office to right the listing ship of state left by the discredited Governor Gray Davis, a liberal in the Jerry Brown mold of extreme leftist tax and spenders.
The California voters had finally had enough, the cry of “throw the bum out” resulting in the recall of the feckless Davis.
Guess that just goes to prove the old axiom, ‘Watch what you pray for’.
So we got Arnold. True to his campaign rhetoric Arnold took on the state assembly and promptly got smacked down, whereupon he ran to hide behind his wife’s apron…and the moral to that story is never vote for somebody in bed with the Kennedys.
Maria Shriver Kennedy Schwarzenegger promptly wiped Arnolds nose for him and installed a leftist staff around him to protect him from the baddies in the Statehouse.
She then proceeded to redirect the Governor to make nice with the ultra libs and spend, spend, spend, tax and regulate the State into bankruptcy.
Which brings us to 2009 and California’s economy is devastated…with companies and people leaving the state wholesale for states with no income tax or those with a friendly atmosphere for business. Large corporations which had once called the state home have pulled up stakes and moved off shore or anywhere but here.
The politicians in Sacramento are so deeply beholden to environmental interests that new business goes elsewhere to start, because the regulatory “fees” and fines make it impossible to reasonably profit here.
We have a FEDERAL judge who cuts off water to thousands of people in the agricultural San Joaquin Valley, the richest agricultural land in the world and our Governor and State politicians do nothing. All for the sake of a two inch trash fish. The Governor, had he not been castrated, should have gone to those flood gates and blasted them open himself and damn to the Feds, instead of cowering in Sacramento until shamed into coming out by Sean Hannity, who has more courage than our entire State Government combined, to make a weak statement. We have 12.5 % unemployment, running to as high as 40% in the Central Valley and all our politicians and Governor can do is dream about new sources of revenue from a battered electorate.
Arnold may have further political aspirations…he’s not worthy to run for dog catcher.
Enter the Republican aspirants for the governors race in 2010.
Enter MEG WHITMAN. This lady has a lot of money to throw around and that’s about it.
She never bothered to vote most of her adult life. Hasn’t a clue about governance. Doesn’t understand that in order to create the million or so jobs she is pledging, TAXES have to be cut and onerous REGULATORY BURDENS lifted from small business. The new governor is going to have to take on the environmental lobbies, the teachers and public service unions and win. To say nothing  of going bare knuckles in that putrid bog called our Statehouse and not backing down to every special interest group in Sacramento.
But most of all she lacks the most basic requirement for the job…judgment.
When I heard she was running I wasn’t particularly impressed, but I was willing to reserve my opinion…until I saw her gushing endorsement of rabid communist agitator Van Jones in a videotaped interview…In this interview she stated she had met him once.
The fact that she was willing to endorse somebody like Jones, without knowing anything about him or bothering to check, tells me worlds about why she is not fit for the Governorship of this state or any high office.

I knew there was something about Newt Gingrich that was REALLY bothering me. Don’t get me wrong, Newt is a really bright guy, but I had severe doubts about his sanity when he started to cozy up to Hillary Clinton during the 2008 presidential campaign. Some of his choices recently lead me to believe he’s lost touch with the conservative patriot movement of the party, if he in fact was ever in touch with it at all.
Newt’s endorsement of  FAR LEFT LIBERAL Republican Dede Scozzafava makes as much sense as Meg Whitman’s gushy endorsement of avowed communist agitator Van Jones and will have the same inevitable result..the only difference being that Newt is not seeking to be Governor of California..but that’s a story for another time.
I’ve been talking about the  “Old Guard” Country Club Republican Party. The guys that meet and predetermine our presidential candidates before district or state elections or national primaries.
That they’ve been wrong time after time doesn’t seem to bother them. They see themselves as beltway movers and shakers and the all-knowing decision makers for us ordinary little people.
There is a ground swell phenomenon out there called the Conservative Patriot movement that the Old Guard is having difficulty comprehending, much less coping with. It’s a movement that is insisting that American Conservative values be followed…that honesty and transparency become the by-word of the party. That small government, anti-regulation, tax reform and fiscal responsibility become the focus of  a new and revitalized Conservative Republican Party.
The 23rd District race in New York may very well be a bell weather indicator for what is going to occur around the country. The Old Boy network of New York GOP political bosses decided that ultra left Dede Scozzafava, a MAXI RINO, would be the party’s pick to run in the 23rd congressional district. This didn’t sit right with the natives, who promptly rebelled with immediate and potentially national implications. Conservatives flocked to the aid and support of  patriot dark horse candidate Doug Hoffman. Including the Conservative Club for Growth and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
Hoffman may turn this race into a route…which should give establishment Republicans around the country pause for severe reflection.
They should be getting this message; We don’t want deal makers. We want leadership who will stand up and FIGHT for what we believe in. We don’t want a CENTRIST limp-wristed  party leadership who will be pushed around by every Democrat on the hill.
BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU FIGHT FOR, FIGHT FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE!!

If the United States had the sense that G-d gave a goose, we’d not only just stay out of Israel’s way when the fateful day comes, which it surely will when hundreds of Israeli F-15’s take to the sky on a do or die mission to end Iran’s nuclear weapons aspirations once and for all, we’d saddle up and join em’.
This mission is every bit as complicated as can be imagined, with as many as two dozen suspected Iranian nuclear sites of various types. As we used to say in the old west, “It’ll be one hell of a shootin’ match”.
Not only that but I suspect that on certain of these facilities special forces ground units may be involved…I don’t pretend to be versed on Israeli tactics…I don’t suspect many people are other than the Israelis.
As I’ve stated before, they always seem to have that extra something that no one was expecting.
The IDF ( Israeli Defense Forces) began contingency planning for combined strike force attacks back in March of 2005, which even at that early date included elements of the IDF Kingfisher forces or Shaldag. Sort of like US Force Recon Marines or Army Rangers on rocket skates. By all accounts some pretty mean dudes. These guys have been in combat continuously for seven decades.
The urgency to do something about  the abiding threat from the Mad Mullahs has doubled down several times since then, as has the complexity of the impending operation.
Poor little Israel is like the main feature in a Denver sandwich or one of the characters out of the Land of the Giants. Israel has to contend with possible reactions from Syria,  Iran’s surrogate Hamas in Lebanon and the ever present, but nonetheless deadly, Palestinians much closer to home. That’s aside from the expected counter strike from Iran’s missile forces which probably cannot  be completely destroyed. Iran and her Maniac Mullahs can be counted on to thrash madly about threatening the Strait of Hormuz as well. In saner times the United States could have been counted on to counter this threat out of self-preservation alone if nothing else…but under a President Obama, with a yellow streak up his back the size of Dorothy’s Yellow Brick Road, all bets are off.
No one who has had to share a fighting hole with someone wants anything to do with somebody who can’t pull the trigger…and that fits our Barry to a ‘ T ‘.
There is an October surprise in the offing according to Russian Intelligence…a massive coordinated strike by the US Military against some 20 Iranian nuclear facilities, Iranian military command and control, anti-aircraft defenses, the Iranian Navy, and possibly part of Iran’s political leadership as well. The attack, according to the Russians, will be called Operation Halloween…something faintly poetic about that.
This would sure as heck take the pressure off of the Israelis IF TRUE. It would not stop them however…they’d just go in and make darn sure no one used those sites again for a very long time.
Thoroughness is another hallmark of the Israeli Military.
In any case I don’t think I’d want to be betting against them…they have a historic way of turning the odds in their favor.
